IRELAND FOLLOWED UP their impressive win over Australia last week with a comfortable 46-3 victory over Fiji at the U20 World Championships on Sunday.
Wingers Rory Scholes and Darren Sweetnam picked up two tries apiece while Chris Taylor and Dan Leavy added one each.

There was a tense opening to the game with both sides trading jabs before Daly kicked the game’s first points after 10 minutes.
Ireland moved 8-0 ahead through Darren Sweetman’s first try five minutes later but Emori Waqa kept the Fijians in the game with a penalty on 25 minutes. Daly then kicked two more penalites to see Ireland into a 14-3 lead at half-time.
Any hopes of an upset by Fiji were quashed when the Irish scored three tries in the space of 13 second half minutes. First Chris Taylor went over before Rory Scholes scored two quick-fire tries to kill the game off.
The Fijian heads dropped at that stage with Leavy adding a try ten minutes later before Darren Sweetman finished off the scoring for Ireland.
Mike Ruddock’s men now move to the top of Pool B on nine points, four clear of New Zealand who play Australia later Sunday.
